The following is the approx. course that will be attempted to be laid out for the Nationals.  The course is approx. 1 mile.  It will have 1869' long straightaways.  The first turn is a bit smaller than the 1 Mile Record Course turns at Dayton. It should be a "full throttle" turn.  The second turn is tighter than the 3/4 Mile Record Course. It should be a little more "racy".  The run to the start will be approx. 700' and the run to the first turn approx. 1169'.

The race committee reserves the right to change the course for any reason at any time.  The following information is only being released as a pre-race guide.

The Red line above represents the "break wall".  The  point in the line closest to the course is the judges stand and start finish line.   The red line on the backstretch is the "reed beds" that we want to stay out of.
