RACE SUMMARY
Entering it's third year on the MHRA event schedule, Augusta's Smoke on the Water Regatta is shaping up to be a marquis competition for outboard racers throughout the midwest. Located on Eagle Lake within the Fort Custer State Recreation Area, it has all the amenties that MHRA and the racer could ask for.

For those who plan on camping with Motorhomes, Vans, Truck, Tents:
This is a state park and you have to reserve a campsite in advance (the park does NOT guarantee they will have sites to book upon arrival). The price is $21/night (+ $8 registration fee). All reservations must be made on-line as the park does have any "reserved" sites.

Other important information:
- Picnic style dinner on Saturday night catered by Lickity Split (same as '09). This was a great dinner last year. Please plan to attend as awards will be presented and we will honor the day's winners.
- There is no alcohol allowed in the park. However, we do have a permit for the for the Hill Top Picnic shelter area. The permit allows for can beer and/or wine (no glass bottles please).
- The gates to the lake/beach area close at 10pm each night. For Friday, that means that if you arrive after 10pm please wait by the gate and park staff will be come by every 1/2 hour until 2am to open the gate so you can park.
- Fueling will have to be done out of the water this year and you will have to place absorbant mats under you tank when filling with gasoline. MHRA will provide the mats at registration or drivers meeting.
- There is no testing on Friday.
